SCRATCHING THE SURFACE, 2015 a site-responsive installation with eclipse 80lb cover paper, water based block ink, gold embossing powder, gold acrylic paint Cheryl Pope’s installation considers the floor in relationship to the land and the history of land ownership in Boulder. Employing the technique of woodblock printmaking, Pope has painstakingly documented the entire history of the floor, transferring every grain and detail of the wood boards onto over 3,400 sheets of paper. |
